PHATA deputy director jobs 2026 are open through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). Advertisement No. 11/2026 asks for 2 Deputy Directors (T.P) and 2 Deputy Directors (Engg) in BS-18, and 12 Assistant Accounts Officers in BS-17, for the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) under the Housing, Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Department. That is 16 posts in all. Apply online by 26 October 2026. All three posts are on 3-year contracts.
GoPunjab is an independent guide. We are not PPSC or PHATA, and we cannot apply for you. The printed advertisement and ppsc.gop.pk have the final word on every detail below.

Who can apply
Each post has its own degree, registration and age rules. Apply only for the case that matches your degree.
Deputy Director (T.P), 2 posts
- Degree: B.Sc. City & Regional Planning from a recognized university, registered with the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP).
- Experience: at least 7 years in a relevant field. Only practical experience gained after the degree counts.
- Registration: valid permanent PCATP registration issued on or before the closing date.
- Age: 21 to 28, as printed. With the relaxation, men can apply up to 33 and women up to 36.
The printed upper age of 28 sits oddly next to 7 years of required experience, and the Engg post in the same ad allows up to 40. We report it as printed. If you are close to the limit, check the PPSC Jobs page or any corrigendum before you pay.
Deputy Director (Engg), 2 posts
- Degree: B.Sc. (Engg) in Civil Engineering from a recognized university, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the government.
- Experience: at least 7 years in the relevant field, counted only after the degree. The ad gives preference to an M.Sc. (Engg) in Civil Engineering (18 years education) with three years of relevant experience.
- Registration: valid permanent Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) registration issued on or before the closing date.
- Age: 21 to 40, relaxed to 45 for men and 48 for women.
Assistant Accounts Officer, 12 posts
- Degree, as printed: B.Com (Hon’s), MBSM, ACCA, M.Com, Inter C.A., BBA (Bachelor in Business Administration), MBA (Master in Business Administration) or BS (Accounting & Finance).
- Note under the post: “The possession of ACCA membership certificate is mandatory for candidates.”
- Age: 21 to 30, relaxed to 35 for men and 38 for women.
The degree list and the note do not sit easily together, since most of those degrees do not come with ACCA membership. Read the note in the printed ad yourself and check PPSC’s Job Description and Eligibility Criteria page for case 27A2026 before paying.
Rules for all three posts
- Domicile: Punjab. The ad prints “All Punjab Basis” for T.P and the accounts post, and “Any District of the Province of Punjab” for Engg.
- Gender: male, female and transgender candidates can apply. A transgender candidate’s age and sex are taken from the CNIC.
- Earlier service: years with the federal government, federal semi-government or autonomous bodies, or local bodies earn no age concession.
- Private experience: if you claim experience from a private firm, bring proof at the interview that it was registered with the SECP, the Registrar of Firms or another regulator during that period.
Pay scale and job type
The two Deputy Director posts are in BS-18 and the Assistant Accounts Officer post is in BS-17. All are filled on contract for 3 years, as printed. The ad gives no monthly salary figure, so treat pay figures on job blogs with caution. Posting is anywhere in Punjab for T.P, and “anywhere in PHATA Punjab” for the Engg and accounts posts.
How to apply for PHATA deputy director jobs 2026
- Open the Jobs page on ppsc.gop.pk and find Advertisement 11/2026. Choose case 25A2026, 26A2026 or 27A2026 under the Housing Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Department.
- Read the Important Instructions, enter your CNIC, and verify your own email address and mobile number.
- Fill in your profile exactly as it appears on your CNIC and degree.
- Pay the Rs 600 fee against the 17-digit PSID the form gives you.
- Upload your photograph and CNIC picture, and enter your degree with marks and your experience.
- Submit before 26 October 2026, and keep your Application Number.
Our PPSC online apply guide walks through each part of the form.
Documents you need
PPSC checks documents at the interview, not when you apply. Keep these ready:
- CNIC and Punjab domicile certificate
- your degree, with marks certificates showing marks obtained and total marks, or a percentage certificate, since CGPA is not accepted
- PCATP or PEC registration for the Deputy Director posts, permanent and issued by 26 October 2026
- ACCA membership certificate for the accounts post, as the note asks
- experience certificates, with SECP or other registration proof for any private employer
- an equivalence certificate from HEC or the department’s Qualification Equivalence Determination Committee, if you claim an equivalent or foreign degree
- an NOC or Departmental Permission Certificate, if you are a government employee

Application fee
The PPSC Jobs page shows Rs 600 for each of the three cases. Pay it against your PSID through an ATM, mobile banking, internet banking, the counter of a 1Link member bank, JazzCash, Easypaisa, UPaisa or another micro-finance bank, as the ad lists. Each case needs its own fee. Paying is not the last step: the application counts only after you submit the form.
Selection process
The test column in the ad says “(if held)”, so PPSC decides whether a written test is needed. If one is held, each case has one MCQ paper of 100 marks and 90 minutes:
- Deputy Director (T.P): all questions related to the qualification.
- Deputy Director (Engg): all questions related to B.Sc. Civil Engineering.
- Assistant Accounts Officer: all questions on accounting, finance and auditing.
Shortlisted candidates are then called for an interview. Test schedules are issued only on the PPSC website, and our PPSC test schedule guide shows where to find them.

Official advertisement and contact
The three posts are serials 179, 180 and 181 in the PPSC Advertisement No. 11/2026 PDF, under the heading Housing Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Department, Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA). The ad prints PPSC’s UAN, 042-111-988-722, and its address, LDA Plaza, 7-Edgerton Road, Lahore. You can read about the agency at phata.punjab.gov.pk, but applications go only through PPSC.
Beware of fake job offers
BS-18 and BS-17 posts draw people who claim they can “arrange” a seat for money. They cannot. PPSC selects on test and interview marks, and the ad itself says that information shared by anyone other than PPSC’s website is not authentic. Pay only the Rs 600 fee against your own PSID, never send money to a person, and report fraud on the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal.
Test dates for PHATA deputy director jobs 2026 will appear only on ppsc.gop.pk, so check it often after 26 October. For other openings, browse the Punjab government jobs list, and read our Punjab Jobs Portal guide to see how departmental posts differ from PPSC ones.
