One post, four names
The ad prints the post name as “Tehsil Sports Officer/Officer Incharge/Administrator/Caretaker”. It is one case with one set of rules, so you apply once. The ad does not say which title each selected candidate will get, and it does not list the duties. The four names suggest the work is running sports at tehsil level and looking after sports facilities, but check PPSC’s Job Description page for the official duties before your interview. Who can apply
The ad gives two ways to qualify. You need only one of them.
Route 1: a sports master’s degree
- Degree: a Master’s degree in Physical Education or Sports Sciences, in at least second division, from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Route 2: a bachelor’s degree plus international selection
- Degree: a Bachelor’s degree, in at least second division, from an HEC-recognized university.
- Sports record: you must have been selected as an International player.
The ad does not name a subject for the bachelor’s degree on this route, and it does not explain how “selected as an International player” will be proved. Keep any official proof of your national team selection ready, and ask PPSC if you are unsure whether your record counts.
Age
- Basic limit: 18 to 25 years.
- Men: up to 30, with the 5-year relaxation printed in the ad.
- Women: up to 33, with the 8-year relaxation printed in the ad.
- Transgender candidates: age and sex are taken from the CNIC.
PPSC’s general instructions count your age on the closing date, 26 October 2026. Years you spent working for the federal government, federal semi-government or autonomous bodies, or local bodies do not earn any age concession.
Other conditions
- Domicile: any district of Punjab.
- Gender: male, female and transgender candidates can apply.
- Experience: the ad asks for none.
- Quota seats: 5 seats are for special persons, 2 for minorities and 3 for women. The other 27 are open merit.
Pay scale and job type
The post is in BS-16 and is filled on contract for 3 years, as printed in the ad. The ad gives no monthly salary figure, so be careful with pay figures you see on job blogs. Because the place of posting is “anywhere in Punjab”, be ready to work in a tehsil far from home.

- Punjab domicile certificate
- your Master’s in Physical Education or Sports Sciences, or your Bachelor’s degree, with marks certificates showing marks obtained and total marks, or a percentage certificate, since the ad says CGPA is not acceptable
- proof of selection as an International player, if you apply through the bachelor’s route
- an equivalence certificate from HEC or the department’s Qualification Equivalence Determination Committee, if your degree is foreign or claimed as equivalent
- an NOC or Departmental Permission Certificate, if you already work for the government
- a disability certificate, if you apply on a special persons quota seat

Application fee
The PPSC Jobs page shows a fee of Rs 600 for case 11H2026. After you fill in your profile, the form gives you a PSID. The ad says you can pay it only through:
- ATMs, mobile phone banking or internet banking
- the counter of a 1Link member bank branch
- JazzCash, Easypaisa, UPaisa or other micro-finance banks
PPSC does not refund fees. Paying is not the last step: your application counts only after you finish the form and submit it.
Selection process
If PPSC holds a written test, the ad says it will be:
- one MCQ paper of 100 marks and 90 minutes
- qualification related questions (50%)
- general ability (50%): general knowledge, Pakistan Studies, current affairs, Islamic Studies (general knowledge for non-Muslim candidates), geography, basic mathematics, English, Urdu, everyday science and basic computer studies

The post is serial 188 in the PPSC Advertisement No. 11/2026 PDF, under the heading Youth Affairs & Sports Department. The ad prints PPSC’s UAN, 042-111-988-722, and its address, LDA Plaza, 7-Edgerton Road, Lahore. The ad also says that if the department later increases or decreases the number of posts, no fresh applications will be invited.
Beware of fake job offers
A sports officer post can attract people who claim they can “arrange” a seat through contacts or for money. They cannot. PPSC selects on test and interview marks. The ad itself says that information shared by anyone other than PPSC’s website is not authentic. Pay only the Rs 600 fee against your own PSID, never send money to a person, and report fraud on the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal.
