An IESCO bill check online takes less than a minute on the official web bill page, bill.pitc.com.pk/iescobill. It is run by the Power Information Technology Company (PITC), which runs the official web bill portal for 11 power distribution companies, and IESCO’s own website links to it as Get IESCO Duplicate Bill. You only need the reference number from an old bill. Checking is free, and you do not need to register or log in.
IESCO stands for Islamabad Electric Supply Company. Its website says it supplies electricity in the area from Attock to Jhelum, and from the river Indus to the river Neelum in Kashmir. It lists six operation circles: Islamabad, Rawalpindi City, Rawalpindi Cantt, Attock, Chakwal and Jhelum. If your bill comes from another company, this guide does not apply to you. See our guides for LESCO, MEPCO, FESCO and GEPCO instead.
IESCO bill check online in 3 steps
- Open the official page, bill.pitc.com.pk/iescobill. Its heading reads IESCO Web Bill, Powered by PITC.
- Keep Reference No selected and type your 14 digit reference number with no spaces. In the small box next to it, choose U or R to match your bill.
- Press Search. Your latest bill opens, and you can print it or save it as a PDF.
That is all. The page does not ask for your CNIC, phone number or any payment.

The official IESCO bill page
As of October 2026, IESCO’s website does not have a separate bill search of its own. Its Get IESCO Duplicate Bill links, on the home page and in the Consumer Service menu, all open the PITC web bill page.
| What | Details |
|---|---|
| Official bill page | bill.pitc.com.pk/iescobill |
| Heading on the page | IESCO Web Bill, Powered by PITC, and IESCO BILL above the search box |
| What it asks for | One box for the 14 digit reference number, plus U or R. Or switch to Customer ID |
| Cost | Free, no login |
The PITC home page lists all 11 distribution companies, so make sure you pick IESCO and not a neighbouring company such as GEPCO or PESCO.
IESCO’s website also links to two mobile apps on Google Play, IESCO Smart and Power Smart.
Your reference number explained
The reference number is the key to your bill. It is printed on every IESCO bill next to the word Reference. The search box on the official page asks for a 14 digit number. The sample bill on the PITC home page shows a reference number in three groups, 01 14111 and then seven more digits, but it is marked “illustration only”.
Some reference numbers are followed by a letter, U or R. Pick the same letter in the small box on the page. The page selects U by default, so change it only if your bill shows R.
You can also search by Customer ID. The official page has a Customer ID option next to Reference No. Use whichever number you have.
Old and new reference numbers
IESCO’s website has a Search Reference Number page with two boxes: one for an old reference number and one for a new reference number. Each takes 14 digits. If an old number does not work on the bill page, look it up there to find the matching new one.
Lost every old bill? Ask a family member for a photo of a recent bill, or visit an IESCO Customer Service Centre for help. The same number is also used for some government schemes, for example the CM Punjab Solar Scheme asked for it.
How to download or print a duplicate bill
When your bill opens on the PITC page, use your browser’s print option. On a phone, tap the menu, then Print or Share, then Save as PDF. PITC says the page gives you a duplicate bill “for payment at any branch”.
If you cannot print at home:
- Save the bill as a PDF and print it at any shop.
- Or visit an IESCO Customer Service Centre. IESCO’s FAQ says duplicate bills are available there. Its Customer Centers page lists centres in Blue Area and G-9 Islamabad, Sowan Garden, Marrir Hassan, Chandni Chowk and Chakri in Rawalpindi, and in Taxila, Fateh Jang, Attock, Chakwal and Jhelum, with phone numbers for each.
IESCO’s head office is at Street # 40, Sector G-7/4, Islamabad. IESCO’s FAQ also says that if you often do not receive your bill on time, you should contact your subdivisional office.
How to pay your IESCO bill
IESCO publishes the NEPRA Consumer Service Manual (November 2025) on its website. The manual says bills can be paid:
- at all commercial bank branches and post offices of the city or district where your connection is
- at NADRA kiosks
- online, or by ATM card or credit card, where this is possible
Keep the paid bill or the transaction message. If the payment shows up again on your next bill as arrears, IESCO’s FAQ says you can get it corrected by showing your previous bill’s bank receipt at your subdivision, a Customer Service Centre or the bank branch.
Due date and late payment surcharge
Your bill shows a due date. Under the NEPRA Consumer Service Manual:
- The due date is within 15 days of the bill being issued, and you should get at least 7 clear days after the bill reaches you.
- If the due date falls on a holiday, it moves to the next working day.
- If you pay after the due date, a late payment surcharge is added. The bill shows the amount payable after the due date.
- If the due date is extended for you, no late payment surcharge is charged.
For questions about your bill, IESCO’s FAQ points you to your Customer Services Officer. Column 34 of your bill names the division where that officer sits. Rules and amounts can change, so read the payment instructions printed on your bill.
IESCO complaints and helpline
IESCO’s website lists these channels for complaints:
- Call 118
- SMS 8118
- Complaint Management, the CCMS portal at ccms.pitc.com.pk
For a wrong meter reading, IESCO’s FAQ says your meter is read once a month on the date given in column 9 of your bill. If it was not read, or the reading looks wrong, tell your subdivision and get it corrected. For other helpline numbers in the province, see our Punjab helpline numbers guide. If a complaint is ignored, you can also escalate it through the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal.
Beware of fake bill apps and websites
Checking an IESCO bill is free. Watch for these:
- Unofficial bill websites and apps that copy the IESCO name. They are not run by IESCO. The official bill page is bill.pitc.com.pk/iescobill, linked from iesco.com.pk.
- SMS or WhatsApp messages saying your connection will be cut today unless you pay through a link. Check your bill yourself on the official page instead.
- Anyone asking for your OTP, bank PIN or card number. IESCO never needs them to show you a bill.
- Agents who offer to “reduce” a bill for a fee. Bill corrections are made only through IESCO itself.
Paying other government dues too? See our guides to token tax in Punjab and property tax in Punjab.
GoPunjab is an independent website. We are not IESCO or PITC, we cannot see anyone’s bill, and we do not collect payments. Always check and pay through the official channels.
