The e-Rozgaar Program teaches young people digital skills and freelancing so they can earn online. This guide explains what it is, the courses, the fee, who is eligible, and how to apply, as of September 2026.
e-Rozgaar is run by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). For years the training was free. That has changed. The current version, called e-Rozgaar 2.0, charges a fee for each course, so read the fee section below before you apply.
What is the e-Rozgaar Program?
The e-Rozgaar Program is a training initiative of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). It gives young people digital-skills and freelancing training so they can find online work on platforms like Fiverr and Upwork. PITB says e-Rozgaar has trained more than 100,000 graduates. You can find the official portal at erozgaar.pitb.gov.pk.
e-Rozgaar started as a joint project of PITB and the Punjab Youth Affairs and Sports Department. In that first version, selected candidates got three months of free training at centres in universities and colleges across Punjab. In June 2022, PITB and the partner universities signed agreements to move the program to a “self-sustainable mode”. In October 2024, PITB announced e-Rozgaar 2.0, described as affordable training delivered through public and private partner institutes. The official portal now carries the name e-Rozgaar 2.0.

The old-program details come from the Punjab Youth Affairs and Sports Department’s e-Rozgaar page, which still describes the earlier version. If you see those rules on other websites, they are out of date. Follow the PITB portal for the current rules.
e-Rozgaar courses
As of September 2026, the official e-Rozgaar portal lists 16 courses:
- Technical: Web Development (Full Stack), Hybrid Mobile App Development, Automate with Python, Cloud Computing and DevOps, WordPress, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security
- Design: Creative Designing, Advanced UI/UX Designing, The Art of Game Creation
- Marketing and content: Content Marketing and Advertising, SEO and Blogging, Social Media Marketing (Meta and Google Ads), Digital Content Creation (YouTube)
- Business: E-Commerce (Shopify Expert)
- Freelancing Masterclass, which covers freelancing platforms, profiles, proposals and finding clients
Each course gives between 50 and 100 hours of training. Classes are offered online and in person, depending on what your centre runs, and not every course runs at every centre. The program includes assessments. If you meet the attendance and assessment rules, you get a certificate of completion with your grade on it. Past trainees can download their certificate from the portal by entering their CNIC.
How much does e-Rozgaar cost?
As of September 2026, the official e-Rozgaar FAQ says: “A fee will be charged for the training course selected by the candidate.” It adds that the fee varies by course, training centre and number of training hours. PITB does not publish one fixed fee for all centres.
As one example, the e-Rozgaar centre at the University of Sargodha lists Rs 9,000 per course on its own admission form for its 2026 regular session. There, you pay a bank challan at an HBL branch and hand a copy to the centre. Other centres may charge a different amount or use a different payment method, so ask your centre before you pay.
The official pages do not mention a stipend, free seats or fee waivers for e-Rozgaar 2.0. If the cost is a problem, NAVTTC’s federal skills courses are free; see our Hunarmand Pakistan guide. In May 2026, Punjab also launched e-Learn She Earn, a separate free online program for women aged 15 to 35, run by the Punjab Skills Development Fund and the Women Development Department.
Who is eligible
As of September 2026, the official e-Rozgaar portal lists two conditions:
- A valid CNIC, Form B or domicile
- Education of Matriculation, O-Levels or above
The portal describes e-Rozgaar as open to the youth of Pakistan, and its sign-up form asks for your province and district. It does not publish an age limit. Some partner centres set extra rules of their own, such as a higher education level or an age cap, so check with your centre before you pay.
You will also need a working email address, because the portal uses your email and password to log in.
How to apply online, step by step
The portal lists four admission steps: register, pay the admission fee, verify documents, and enroll. In practice, it works like this:
- Open the official e-Rozgaar portal (erozgaar.pitb.gov.pk) and click Register or Apply Now.
- Sign up with your email, name, CNIC, province, district and a password, and accept the program’s terms.
- Log in with your email and password, and fill in the registration form.
- Pay the admission fee through the method your portal account or centre gives you.
- Verify your documents in the way your centre asks.
- Once verified, you are enrolled, and your centre shares the class schedule.
Your choice of course and centre decides the fee, so compare before you pay. A few university centres, such as the University of Sargodha, take applications on their own official university website instead. If you use a centre’s own page, make sure it is on that institution’s official website.
Where the training centres are
e-Rozgaar 2.0 training happens at partner institutes, plus online classes. As of September 2026, PITB has announced these partner agreements:

Some older university centres, such as the one at the University of Sargodha, also still run e-Rozgaar courses. The list changes, so check the Partners page on the official portal for centres near you.
Stay safe from fraud
- Apply only on the official portal erozgaar.pitb.gov.pk, or on the official website of a partner centre.
- e-Rozgaar 2.0 does charge a course fee. Pay it only through the method shown in your portal account or by your centre, such as a bank challan, and keep the receipt.
- Never pay an agent, and never send money to a personal bank or mobile wallet account, to “guarantee” a seat.
- Signing up on the portal does not ask for any payment. Anyone who charges you just to register is not official.
- Never share your OTP or password with anyone.
If someone asks you for money outside the official process, report it through the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal.
