What a Fard is and why you need it

A Fard (Fard Malkiat) is the official record of rights confirming who owns a piece of land. You need it for:

  • Selling or buying land
  • Bank loans and mortgages
  • Inheritance transfers
  • Legal disputes

A certified Fard is issued by PLRA or an Arazi Record Center from the digitized record.

How to check your land record and get a Fard

  1. Open the official PLRA portal (punjab-zameen.gov.pk).
  2. Select your district, tehsil, and mauza.
  3. Search by owner name, CNIC, or khasra number to view the record.
  4. For a certified Fard, request it online or at an Arazi Record Center and pay the official fee.
