How to check your bijli bill in 3 steps

  1. Find your company name on any old bill. It is printed at the top.
  2. Click your company tile above. The official PITC portal opens in a new tab.
  3. Enter your 14-digit reference number and select U or R as printed on your bill. Click Search.

Your bill appears on screen. You can print it or save it as a PDF.

Where is my reference number?

The reference number is printed on every electricity bill. Look for:

  • The word Reference or Ref No near the top of the bill
  • A 14-digit number (some bills split it into groups like 01-14111-1234567)
  • A small U or R letter next to it (Urban or Rural)

The reference number is NOT:

  • Your meter number (that is on the meter itself)
  • Your CNIC number
  • Your phone number

If you have no old bill, call your company helpline with your address. They can give you the reference number.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I check my bijli bill online?
Select your electricity company from the tiles above and click the button. The official PITC bill portal opens in a new tab. Enter your 14-digit reference number and the U or R letter exactly as printed on your bill. Your bill appears on screen and you can print it free.
Where is my reference number?
The reference number is printed on every electricity bill near the top. It has 14 digits. Look for the word Reference or Ref No. Do not use the meter number or your CNIC. If you have no old bill, call your company helpline with your address.
Can I check my bill by CNIC?
No. The official PITC portal does not accept CNIC numbers. You must use the 14-digit reference number or customer ID printed on your bill. This is for your privacy since a CNIC could let anyone see your bill.
Is this site official?
No. GoPunjab is an independent information guide. We do not fetch, store or display your bill. The tiles above open the official PITC portal (bill.pitc.com.pk) or K-Electric portal in a new tab where you check your bill directly.
Do you save my reference number?
No. Your reference number is never sent to our server. When you click a company tile, the official portal opens in a new tab. We do not log, store or transmit any bill numbers.
Why does my bill show more than my units?
Your bill includes fixed charges (meter rent, TV fee), fuel price adjustment, quarterly tariff adjustment, sales tax, and any arrears from previous months. The unit charge is only part of the total. Check the breakdown printed on your bill.
Can I pay my bill here?
No. GoPunjab does not collect payments. After checking your bill on the official portal, pay through your bank app, JazzCash, Easypaisa, any bank branch, or NADRA e-Sahulat kiosk.
What if the portal does not load?
Try again after a few minutes. The PITC portal can be slow during peak hours. Make sure you selected the correct company. If you typed your number with spaces, remove them. If your bill still does not appear, it may not be uploaded yet.
