To b form online apply for your child, NADRA’s PakID app is the official route, but only for a baby up to one year old. Older children get their B-Form at a NADRA Registration Centre. The B-Form is what NADRA calls the Child Registration Certificate (CRC). This guide explains who needs it, both ways to apply, the documents, the official fee, and how to fix a mistake, as of October 2026.
B form online apply in 3 steps
- Get the Union Council birth certificate first. NADRA will not issue a CRC without the computerised birth certificate from your Union Council, Municipal Committee or Cantonment.
- Child up to one year old? Open the PakID app (listed as Pak Identity in the app stores), go to Family, choose CRC or B-form, and fill in the form. Older child? Take the birth certificate and your CNIC to a NADRA Registration Centre.
- Pay the fee (Rs 50 Normal or Rs 500 Executive on NADRA’s fee page) and collect the B-Form: a PDF in the app, or a printed copy at the centre.

What the B-Form is, and who needs it
NADRA says the CRC and the Juvenile Card are identity documents for children under 18, issued under Rule 18 of the NADRA (NIC) Rules, 2002. They are a child’s first registration in NADRA’s database, and they prove the child’s identity and the link to the parents or legal guardian. NADRA’s details are on its CRC and Juvenile Card page.
Every Pakistani child under 18 whose parent holds a valid CNIC or NICOP is eligible. You will need a B-Form for:
- A passport for a child. NADRA says a valid CRC with a picture, or a Juvenile Card, is required for a passport for anyone under 18.
- Welfare programs. BISP asks for B-Forms of all children when you register, and PSER asks for them too. See our BISP registration guide and our PSER online registration guide.
- Your family record. Children with a CRC appear in your NADRA family tree, which is what an FRC shows.
Once the CRC is ready, see our passport fee guide for DGIP’s current fees for a child’s passport.
B form online apply in the PakID app (up to one year old)
NADRA’s PakID FAQ lists “Issuance of Fresh CRC for children up to one-year age” among the app’s services. If your child is older than that, the app is not the route for a fresh B-Form.
These steps follow NADRA’s own FAQ for applying through PakID:
- Log in to your PakID account, or create one. Install the app only from the store links on nadra.gov.pk.
- On the Home page, go to Family and select CRC or B-form.
- Choose Myself or My Blood Relatives category.
- Select the processing category: Normal or Executive.
- Tap Start Application, check the prefilled details, and add the child’s missing details.
- Verify the parents’ details, and enter disability details if needed.
- Capture or upload the child’s photograph, and fingerprints where required.
- Verify one parent’s fingerprints.
- Upload the documents, mainly the Union Council birth certificate.
- Review, submit and pay.
NADRA says the CRC is then downloaded as a PDF and appears in the ID Vault in the app once processing is complete. There is no courier for an app CRC.
Still need the Union Council certificate? Our birth certificate online Punjab guide explains how to get it, including NADRA’s PakID birth registration pilot in some Punjab districts.
Applying at a NADRA Registration Centre
For a child over one year, NADRA describes this process at the centre:
- Take a token and wait for the one window counter.
- Biometric verification of the parent.
- Photographs and/or fingerprints of the child, where required.
- Your data is fetched or entered, then reviewed with you.
- Attestation by a parent, sibling, guardian or a gazetted officer.
- Interview and approval by the officer in charge.
- Pay the fee, then collect the printed CRC after the processing time for your category.
NADRA adds that if a blood relative (father, mother, brother or sister) or spouse is not there to give fingerprints, the form is printed for attestation, and you bring it back to the same centre. Use Find Nearest NRC on nadra.gov.pk to find a centre.
Documents and rules NADRA lists
- Computerised birth registration certificate from the Union Council, Municipal Committee or Cantonment, for a birth in Pakistan.
- Detailed birth certificate or S-1 form for a child born abroad.
- A parent’s valid CNIC or NICOP.
- Marriage recorded with NADRA. NADRA says that if the parents’ marriage is not updated in its record, they must update it first.
NADRA’s age rules matter here:
| Child’s age | What NADRA captures | Child must be present? |
|---|---|---|
| Under 3 | No biometrics | Only if the CRC is for a passport |
| 3 to 10 | Photograph and iris | Yes |
| 10 to 18 | Photograph, fingerprints and iris | Yes |
Other points from NADRA’s CRC FAQ:
- One parent is enough. Either parent, or a legal guardian with a guardianship certificate, can apply.
- Adopted children need a guardianship certificate from the Guardian court.
- Father is a foreign national: the CRC can be issued on the mother’s identity, with supporting documents.
- Parents overseas: apply at a NADRA centre abroad, a Pakistani mission, or in the PakID app. Our NICOP guide covers NADRA services for families abroad.
NADRA B-Form fee and processing time
As of October 2026, NADRA’s fee structure page lists:
| CRC (all categories) | Fee | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | Rs 50 | 7 days |
| Executive | Rs 500 | 1 day |
There is no Urgent category for the CRC. Cancelling a CNIC or CRC after a death is listed as free. For app applications, NADRA says the timeline starts after you pay. Fees can change, so check the fee page before you pay, and keep your receipt.
In the app, NADRA accepts Visa or Mastercard cards and Raast. One NADRA FAQ says CRC fees can also be paid through e-Sahulat, Easypaisa and JazzCash, but its payment page lists those three for Smart NIC and FRC only. If a wallet does not accept your tracking ID, use a card or Raast.
Tracking and delivery
- PakID app: tap Tracking and enter your tracking ID and PIN. The finished CRC appears as a PDF in the app. Our NADRA tracking ID check guide explains every way to track.
- NADRA centre: keep your receipt. The CRC is printed and handed over at the centre after processing.
Renewal: the B-Form expires at 3, 10 and 18
NADRA says a CRC expires when the child turns 3, 10 and 18. The child then needs a new one with a photo (from 3) and fingerprints and iris (from 10). At 18, the child applies for a CNIC; see our NADRA CNIC online guide. In April 2026, ProPakistani reported NADRA saying parents can renew at a NADRA office or through the PakID app.
A child can also get a Juvenile Card instead, even without a CRC, NADRA says. NADRA lists the Juvenile Card as expiring at 10 and 18.
Fixing a mistake in a B-Form
- Most errors: apply for modification at any NADRA Registration Centre or in the PakID app, with supporting documents.
- Date of birth does not match the Union Council certificate: correct the birth certificate first. NADRA then updates the CRC.
- Duplicate CRC records: one record must be cancelled before NADRA processes a Juvenile Card.
- Wrong father’s name or child’s name: NADRA says these can be corrected when converting the CRC to a Juvenile Card, with supporting documents.
Beware of agents and fake B-Form websites
- Apply only in the PakID app or at a NADRA centre. NADRA says any website outside nadra.gov.pk is not an official NADRA website.
- In May 2026, NADRA said it has no authorised agents or consultants, ProPakistani reported. Nobody can “make a B-Form from home” for extra cash.
- Pay only Rs 50 or Rs 500 through official channels, and never share an OTP or your PakID password.
- Report anyone who demands extra money at complaints.nadra.gov.pk, on the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal, or by calling 1777.
GoPunjab is an independent website. We are not NADRA, and we cannot issue a B-Form or see your records. Always finish your application in the PakID app or at a NADRA centre.
