PSER Punjab is the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry, a government survey that records households across the province. This guide explains what it is, why it exists, how your data is used, and which programs rely on it, all in simple words.

The government describes PSER as a “prosperity survey” launched across Punjab to identify underprivileged households and connect them with government facilities.

What PSER actually is

Think of PSER as one big, official list of households in Punjab and their economic conditions. Instead of each welfare program collecting its own data, the government builds this single registry. Programs then check against it to find families who need support.

This is why registering in PSER is the starting point for so many schemes. If your household is not on the list, programs have no record to check.

The NADRA partnership

Here is a part of the story that many websites skip. The Punjab Government signed an agreement with NADRA to strengthen PSER. Under this partnership, NADRA helps to:

  • Validate and enrich PSER data, so records are more accurate
  • Support centralized data management with privacy protections
  • Expand access through physical registration centers and a door-to-door survey

This matters to you because it means your information is cross-checked for accuracy, and there are more ways to get registered than just the website.

How your data is used

Your household details are used to assess whether you qualify for specific programs. The assessment uses a score the government calculates, known as the PMT score, which we explain in our eligibility criteria guide.

For exact rules on how your data is stored and protected, rely on official government sources. We do not handle or store any of your data; GoPunjab is just an information website.

Which schemes use PSER

PSER is the gateway registry for many programs. Schemes that check against PSER data include:

  • The solar panel scheme
  • The Himmat Card (for persons with disabilities)
  • The Kisan Card (for farmers)
  • The Rehmat Card
  • Ramzan and Nigehban support packages
  • Benefits linked to BISP

For most of these, only one eligible person per household can apply. That is why an accurate, complete registration is so important.

PSER is not the same as BISP

It is easy to confuse the two. PSER is the Punjab provincial registry. BISP is a separate federal program. They are linked, because some benefits check against PSER data, but they are run by different bodies. Registering in PSER is not the same as enrolling in BISP.
