A GEPCO bill check online takes less than a minute on the official web bill page, bill.pitc.com.pk/gepcobill. It is run by the Power Information Technology Company (PITC), which runs the official web bill portal for 11 power distribution companies, and GEPCO’s own website sends you to it. You only need the reference number from your bill. Checking is free, and you do not need to register or log in.

GEPCO stands for Gujranwala Electric Power Company. Its website says it was set up over the area of the former Area Electricity Board, which covered the districts of Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat and Mandi Bahauddin. If your bill comes from another company, this guide does not apply to you. See our guides for LESCO, MEPCO, FESCO and IESCO instead.

GEPCO bill check online in 3 steps

  1. Open the official page, bill.pitc.com.pk/gepcobill. Its heading reads GEPCO Web Bill, Powered by PITC, and the search box sits under Search Your Electricity Bill.
  2. Keep Reference No selected and type your 14 digit reference number with no spaces. In the small box next to it, choose U or R to match your bill.
  3. Press Search. Your latest bill opens, and you can print it or save it as a PDF.

That is all. The page does not ask for your CNIC, phone number or any payment.

The official GEPCO Web Bill page asks only for your 14 digit reference number with U or R, or your Customer ID.

The two official GEPCO bill pages

As of October 2026, there are two official places to start. Both are free, and both end on the same PITC bill.

PageHow to reach itWhat it asks for
PITC web billbill.pitc.com.pk/gepcobillOne box for the 14 digit reference number, plus U or R. Or switch to Customer ID
GEPCO Duplicate Billgepco.com.pk, then Duplicate / Web Bill on the home pageOne box for the 14 digit reference number and a Show button

The GEPCO page does not show the bill itself. Pressing Show opens the PITC web bill page, where you type the number again and press Search. So you can save time by going straight to the PITC page.

The PITC home page lists all 11 distribution companies, so make sure you pick GEPCO and not a neighbouring company.

Your reference number explained

The reference number is the key to your bill. It is printed on every GEPCO bill and has 14 digits, all numbers. Type it with no spaces.

GEPCO’s duplicate bill page warns that some reference numbers have been revised. So copy the number exactly as printed on your latest bill, not from a very old bill.

Some reference numbers are followed by a letter, U or R. Pick the same letter in the small box on the PITC page. The page selects U by default, so change it only if your bill shows R.

You can also search by Customer ID. The PITC page has a Customer ID option next to Reference No. Use whichever number you have.

Lost every old bill? Ask a family member for a photo of a recent bill, or visit a GEPCO Customer Service Centre for help. The same number is also used for some government schemes, for example the CM Punjab Solar Scheme asked for it.

How to download or print a duplicate bill

When your bill opens on the PITC page, use your browser’s print option. On a phone, tap the menu, then Print or Share, then Save as PDF. PITC says the page gives you a duplicate bill “for payment at any branch”.

If you cannot print at home:

  • Save the bill as a PDF and print it at any shop.
  • Or visit a GEPCO Customer Service Centre. GEPCO says these centres issue duplicate bills for all types of customers. As of October 2026, GEPCO lists four centres:
CentrePhoneAddress
CSC GEPCO HQ055-9200505GEPCO HQ, 565-A, Model Town, GT Road, Gujranwala

How to pay your GEPCO bill

GEPCO’s duplicate bill page says: “All branches of all commercial banks have been authorized to collect electricity bills.”

GEPCO’s payment options page lists these collection points:

  • All commercial banks
  • All post offices
  • Easy Paisa
  • NADRA collection points
  • One Link

The NEPRA Consumer Service Manual (November 2025), which GEPCO publishes on its website, adds that online payment and payment by ATM card or credit card can also be made where possible.

Keep the paid bill or the transaction message. If a paid amount shows up again on your next bill, the NEPRA manual says the Revenue Officer, or the bank or post office where you paid, can correct it the same day when you show the original paid bill.

Due date and late payment surcharge

Your bill shows a due date. Under the NEPRA Consumer Service Manual:

  • The due date is within 15 days of the bill being issued, and you should get at least 7 clear days after the bill reaches you.
  • If the due date falls on a holiday, it moves to the next working day.
  • If you pay after the due date, a late payment surcharge is added. The bill shows the amount payable after the due date.
  • If the due date is extended for you, no late payment surcharge is charged.

GEPCO says its Customer Service Centres can help with:

  • extending the due date by up to 3 days, for a current bill of up to Rs 10,000 (domestic and commercial only)
  • splitting a domestic bill of up to Rs 10,000 into up to 3 instalments, once in six months
  • correcting a domestic bill for a wrong reading of up to 500 units

Rules and amounts can change, so read the payment instructions printed on your bill.

GEPCO complaints and helpline

GEPCO’s Consumer Service Response Handbook lists these channels:

  • Call 118, the toll free customer care number, open 24/7
  • SMS 8118, instead of calling
  • CCMS web portal at ccms.pitc.com.pk. GEPCO says a complaint filed here is treated the same as one made on 118
  • Pakistan Citizen’s Portal mobile app

GEPCO’s website also has its own E-Complaint Form, with options such as Billing Complaints, Excess Billing and Non Delivery of Bills.

For a wrong meter reading on your bill, GEPCO’s FAQ says to contact the SDO, XEN or Customer Services Centre of your area, or GEPCO Head Quarter. If a complaint is not handled, the handbook gives a crisis management cell at the Head Quarter on 055-9200515, 055-9200504 and 055-9200592.

For other helpline numbers in the province, see our Punjab helpline numbers guide and our Pakistan Citizen’s Portal guide.

Beware of fake bill apps and websites

Checking a GEPCO bill is free. Watch for these:

  • Unofficial bill websites and apps that copy the GEPCO name. They are not run by GEPCO. The official pages are bill.pitc.com.pk/gepcobill and gepco.com.pk.
  • SMS or WhatsApp messages saying your connection will be cut today unless you pay through a link. Check your bill yourself on the official page instead.
  • Anyone asking for your OTP, bank PIN or card number. GEPCO never needs them to show you a bill.
  • Agents who offer to “reduce” a bill for a fee. Bill corrections are made only through GEPCO itself.

Paying other government dues too? See our guides to token tax in Punjab and property tax in Punjab.

GoPunjab is an independent website. We are not GEPCO or PITC, we cannot see anyone’s bill, and we do not collect payments. Always check and pay through the official channels.
