Registration and experience rules
These rules are printed under Senior Registrar Medicine and apply to all five posts:
- Your PMDC/PMC registration showing the required qualifications must be valid up to the closing date. If it has expired, you need proof that you applied for renewal on or before 26 October 2026.
- Only practical experience after the prescribed qualification counts, on a certificate from the appointing authority, PMDC or PMC that shows designation, pay scale, field, nature and duration. It must be backed by an appointment letter, notification or office order.
- Government contract, current charge, acting charge and ad hoc experience counts only if issued by the appointing or competent authority, PMDC or PMC.
- OPS or designated experience (up to 17 June 2021 only), BOM, TTS and university cadre experience counts only if PMDC/PMC recognizes and issues it. Foreign, autonomous and private experience also needs PMDC/PMC recognition.
Pay scale and job type
All five posts are in BS-18 and are filled on contract for 3 years, extendable on good performance. The advertisement gives no monthly salary figure, so be careful with salary numbers on job blogs. Because the posting can be at any listed teaching hospital in Punjab, be ready to work outside your home city.

PPSC takes applications online only:
- Open the PPSC Jobs page and find Advertisement 11/2026 under the Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department.

Advertisement 11/2026 does not print a hard-copy requirement for these posts, unlike the September round. Still, read the post details on the Jobs page before you submit, in case PPSC asks for documents by post. Our PPSC online apply guide explains each part of the form.
Documents you need
PPSC checks original documents at the interview. Keep these ready:
- Valid CNIC
- Punjab domicile certificate
- MBBS degree and detailed marks certificates (PPSC does not accept CGPA alone; marks obtained and total marks, or a percentage certificate, are needed)
- Postgraduate degree or diploma (FCPS, MS, MD, FRCS, MRCP and so on)
- PMC/PMDC registration, valid up to the closing date, or proof of renewal
- Experience certificates with appointment letters or office orders, if your route needs experience

Need a domicile first? See our Punjab domicile online guide.
Application fee
The PPSC Jobs page shows Rs 600 for each of the five cases. The fee is per post, so applying for two posts means paying twice. Pay the PSID under the GoPb biller through an ATM, mobile or internet banking, the counter of a 1Link member bank branch, JazzCash, Easypaisa, UPaisa or another micro-finance bank, as the ad lists. PPSC’s instructions exempt specially abled candidates and do not refund the fee.
Selection process
- PPSC runs the whole selection. The ad prints no test syllabus for these SH&ME posts, and says test schedules and syllabus, if any, will be issued only on the PPSC website.
- PPSC’s instructions shortlist candidates for interview on academic record and/or a written test. In MCQ tests, 0.25 marks are cut for each wrong answer and 40% is needed to qualify.
- At the interview, PPSC checks your originals in detail, and you need 50% to pass.
- If the department changes the number of posts later, PPSC will not invite fresh applications.
