About the employer
The ad lists the post under the heading “Programme Management Unit of Agriculture Department”. It does not name the program the unit runs, and it does not list the duties of an Assistant Regional Manager. The Agriculture Department has advertised other posts this year too. One earlier example was the Thal project ad from the Agriculture Department, which has now closed. That one was a departmental ad, while this one goes through PPSC.
Who can apply
Degree
The ad gives two options. You need only one of them:
- B.Sc. Agricultural Engineering from an HEC-recognized university, at least 2nd Division or equivalent, and registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC); or
- B.Sc. Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university, at least 2nd Division or equivalent, and registration with the PEC.
Unlike some engineer posts, the post row for this case does not say “permanent” registration or give a date. The general notes at the foot of the ad say you should have obtained or applied for your PEC certificate on or before the closing date and must show it at the interview, if called.
Age
- Basic limit: 20 to 35 years.
- Men: up to 40, with the 5-year relaxation printed in the ad.
- Women: up to 43, with the 8-year relaxation printed in the ad.
- Transgender candidates: age and sex are taken from the CNIC.
PPSC’s general instructions count your age on the closing date, 26 October 2026. Years spent working for the federal government, federal semi-government or autonomous bodies, or local bodies earn no age concession.
Other conditions
- Domicile: anywhere in the Province of Punjab.
- Gender: male, female and transgender candidates can apply.
- Experience: the ad asks for none, so a fresh engineering graduate with PEC registration can apply.
- Quota: 1 of the 8 seats is reserved for women. The other 7 are open merit.
Pay scale and job type
The post is in BS-17. The ad says it is on contract for 3 years, extendable on good performance. No monthly salary figure is printed, so treat pay numbers on job blogs with caution.
The place of posting is printed as “Anywhere in Special Zone of Punjab”. The ad does not say which districts make up this special zone. If the duty station matters to you, look for details on PPSC’s Job Description page or the Agriculture Department’s website before you apply.

- Read the Important Instructions, enter your CNIC, and verify your own email address and mobile number.
- Fill in your personal profile exactly as it appears on your CNIC and degree.
- Pay the Rs 600 fee against the PSID the form gives you.
- Upload your photograph and CNIC picture, and enter your engineering degree with its marks.
- Submit before 26 October 2026, and keep your Application Number and the Token Number that PPSC sends you.

Documents you need
PPSC checks documents at the interview, not when you apply. Everyone sits the test provisionally and at their own risk, so make sure you meet every condition before you pay. Keep these ready:
- CNIC
- Punjab domicile certificate
- your B.Sc. Agricultural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree, with marks certificates showing marks obtained and total marks, or a percentage certificate, since the ad says CGPA is not acceptable
- your Pakistan Engineering Council registration, or proof that you applied for it by 26 October 2026
- an equivalence certificate from HEC or the department’s Qualification Equivalence Determination Committee, if your degree is foreign or claimed as equivalent
- an NOC or Departmental Permission Certificate, if you already work for the government

Application fee
The PPSC Jobs page shows a fee of Rs 600 for case 59G2026. After you fill in your profile, the form gives you a PSID. The ad says to pay it only through:
- ATMs, mobile phone banking or internet banking
- the counter of a 1Link member bank branch
- JazzCash, Easypaisa, UPaisa or other micro-finance banks
PPSC does not refund fees. Paying is not the last step: your application counts only after you finish the form and submit it.
Selection process
If PPSC holds a written test, the ad says it will be:
- one MCQ paper of 100 marks and 90 minutes
- qualification related questions (about 60%): agricultural engineering, civil engineering and mechanical engineering
- general topics (about 40%): general knowledge, Pakistan Studies, current affairs, geography, English, Urdu, basic mathematics, everyday science and basic computer studies
Because the qualification part covers all three branches, a civil engineer should still revise basic agricultural and mechanical engineering, and the other way round. After the test, shortlisted candidates are called for an interview. PPSC’s general instructions set the pass marks, so read them on the website before the test.

The post is serial 189 in the PPSC Advertisement No. 11/2026 PDF, under the heading Programme Management Unit of Agriculture Department. The ad prints PPSC’s UAN, 042-111-988-722, and its address, LDA Plaza, 7-Edgerton Road, Lahore. It also says that if the department later changes the number of posts, no fresh applications will be invited.
Beware of fake job offers
A BS-17 engineer post draws people who claim they can “arrange” a seat for money. They cannot. PPSC selects on test and interview marks, and the ad says that information shared by anyone other than PPSC’s website is not authentic. Pay only the Rs 600 fee against your own PSID, never send money to a person, and report fraud on the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal.
