Who can apply
The ad gives two ways to qualify. You need to meet only one of them.
Route 1: graduate with computer knowledge
- Graduation in at least second division from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), and
- basic knowledge of computer.
No experience is asked for on this route, so a fresh graduate with a second division can apply.
Route 2: graduate with intelligence experience
- Graduation in at least second division from an HEC-recognized university, and
- five years’ experience in the Intelligence Wing of Law Enforcing Agencies.
The note under the post says only practical experience gained after the prescribed qualification is accepted. Keep experience certificates that show your post, dates and the agency.
Age, domicile and gender
- Age: 21 to 35 years. With the relaxation printed in the ad, men can apply up to 40 and women up to 43.
- Domicile: all Punjab basis, so a domicile of any Punjab district works.
- Gender: male, female and transgender. For transgender candidates, age and sex are taken from the CNIC.
- Earlier service: years in the federal government, federal semi-government or autonomous bodies, or local bodies earn no age concession.
Pay scale and job type
The post is in BS-14 and is filled on contract for a period of 2 years, marked extendable in the ad. The advertisement gives no monthly salary figure, so be careful with pay numbers on job blogs. Since the posting is anywhere in Punjab, be ready to serve outside your home district.

- Open the PPSC Jobs page and find Advertisement 11/2026 under “Special Branch, Punjab Police Department”.
- Click “INTELLIGENCE OFFICER” (case 10H2026), read the post details and the Important Instructions, then click Apply Online.
- Enter your CNIC, and verify your own email address and mobile number.
- Fill in your personal details exactly as on your CNIC and degree.
- Pay the Rs 600 fee against the 17-digit PSID the form gives you.
- Upload your photograph and CNIC, and enter your graduation with its marks. Add your experience if you apply through Route 2.
- Submit before 26 October 2026, and keep your Application Number and token number safe.

Documents you need
PPSC checks original documents at the interview, not when you apply. Keep these ready:
- Valid CNIC
- Punjab domicile certificate
- Graduation degree with a detailed marks certificate showing marks obtained and total marks, or a percentage certificate (CGPA alone is not accepted)
- Any computer course certificate you have (the ad does not say how basic computer knowledge will be checked)
- Experience certificates from the law enforcing agency, if you apply through Route 2
- Equivalence certificate from HEC or the department’s Qualification Equivalence Determination Committee, if your degree is foreign or claimed as equivalent
- NOC or Departmental Permission Certificate, if you are a government employee
- Disability certificate, if you apply on the special person quota

Application fee
The PPSC Jobs page shows a fee of Rs 600 for this case. After you fill in your profile, the form gives you a PSID. The ad says to pay it online only, through an ATM, mobile phone banking, internet banking, the counter of a 1Link member bank branch, JazzCash, Easypaisa, UPaisa or another micro-finance bank. PPSC’s instructions exempt specially abled candidates from the fee, and the fee is not refunded.
Selection process
The ad prints a written test “if held”:
- One MCQ paper of 100 marks and 90 minutes.
- General ability, about 80%: general knowledge, Pakistan Studies, current affairs, Islamic Studies (general knowledge for non-Muslim candidates), geography, basic mathematics, English, Urdu and everyday science.
- Basic computer studies, about 20%.
- PPSC’s instructions cut 0.25 marks for each wrong answer, and you need 40% to qualify for interview.
- At the interview, PPSC checks your originals, and you need 50% to pass.
Test schedules and any syllabus updates appear only on the PPSC website. If the department changes the number of posts later, PPSC will not invite fresh applications.
