A Kisan Card check online is how many farmers try to confirm their CM Punjab Kisan Card status and loan balance. This guide explains what the official sources offer for checking your status, who holds your balance, what each result means, and what to do if nothing appears.

If you have already done your Kisan Card registration, checking your status tells you whether your card is on its way. Two different offices are involved: the Punjab Agriculture Department handles applications, and the Bank of Punjab issues the card and runs the loan.

How to do a Kisan Card check online

As of September 2026, we found no official online or SMS service where you enter your CNIC and see your Kisan Card status. The Punjab Portal’s Kisan Card page gives one 8070 format, and it is for applying: PKC, a space, then your 13-digit CNIC. The Agriculture Department’s Kisan Card page lists registered dealers, PSO pumps and notices, but it has no status check.

What the Agriculture Department’s guidance does describe is a set of messages, offices and helplines:

  1. Confirmation SMS: after you send PKC and your CNIC to 8070, you should get a message saying your application was submitted.
  2. Card-ready SMS or call: PLRA checks your land record and NADRA checks your CNIC. You get an SMS or a call when your card is ready, and you collect it from your nearest Assistant Director (Extension) Agriculture office.
  3. Help desks: the Agriculture Department runs Kisan Card help desks in those offices. Take your CNIC and ask about your application there.
  4. Agriculture helpline: you can also call 0800-17000, the Agriculture Department’s helpline.

Keep every message you get about your application. Your CNIC is how the office finds your record.

8070 is for applying. Keep the confirmation SMS, and ask the helpline 0800-17000 or your help desk about your status.

Be careful with “Kisan Card check by CNIC” websites

If you search for a Kisan Card check by CNIC, you will find many websites with a box for your CNIC number. These are not government websites. We found no official page where you type your CNIC and see your Kisan Card status. Some of these sites only collect CNIC numbers and show adverts. Do not enter your CNIC, card number or PIN on them.

How to check your Kisan Card balance

The card status and the loan balance are two different things:

  • The status of your application comes from the Agriculture Department’s checks. Its help desks and helpline can tell you where it stands.
  • Your loan balance and remaining limit are held by the Bank of Punjab, which issues the card.

To see your balance, contact the Bank of Punjab. Its contact page lists a Government Initiatives Helpline, 042-111-333-267, and the Agriculture Department says you can call this number 24 hours a day about your Kisan Card. You can also visit a Bank of Punjab branch with your card and CNIC. The Punjab government says cardholders get free SMS alerts for their transactions, so keep those messages too.

As of September 2026, the Agriculture Department’s Phase 2 advert lists a maximum loan of Rs 360,000, at Rs 30,000 per acre, with 30 percent available as cash. Your own limit depends on your land and is set by the bank. Our Kisan Card eligibility guide explains the figures.

How to repay and see what you owe

Your balance also tells you what you need to repay. The Agriculture Department’s 2026 notices say you can pay your Kisan Card dues:

  • At any Bank of Punjab branch
  • By interbank transfer
  • Through Raast ID

APP reported in April 2026 that once you clear your dues, the next interest-free loan is credited to your card within 24 hours. In April and May 2026, the department also offered lucky draws, with prizes such as tractors, for farmers who repaid by set deadlines. Repaying on time keeps your card working for the next season.

What your status means

The government does not publish a list of Kisan Card status messages. Whatever wording you are given, it usually means one of these:

  • Approved or active. Your card is issued and ready to use for the seasonal loan. This does not by itself add money; you use the loan through the card at registered dealers, and part can be withdrawn as cash.
  • Pending or under review. Your application is still being checked. Ask again later.
  • Not found. Your CNIC is not in the system yet, usually because the application did not go through or your land record needs updating.

If your status does not appear

  • Check that you applied in the correct format, PKC, a space, then your CNIC, from a SIM registered on your own CNIC, and that you got a confirmation SMS.
  • The land record and NADRA checks take time, so no news yet does not always mean a problem.
  • If you still hear nothing, you may not be approved yet, or your land record may need updating in PLRA.
  • Before you send the SMS again, call 0800-17000 to ask whether new applications are being taken. As of September 2026, we found no official notice of a new registration window.

Lost card, forgotten PIN or blocked card

The Agriculture Department says its Kisan Card help desks at Assistant Director (Extension) Agriculture offices deal with:

  • A lost Kisan Card
  • A forgotten PIN
  • A blocked card or problems using it
  • A new card after expiry or damage
  • Activation problems

To activate a new card, call the Bank of Punjab on 042-111-333-267 from the mobile number registered in your name. The bank asks for your CNIC, name, date of birth, mother’s name, birth district and the 16-digit card number. Only give these on a call you made yourself to that number.

Stay safe

There is no government fee to apply or to ask about your status. To protect yourself:

  • Use only official channels: 8070 for applying, 0800-17000 and the Agriculture Department’s help desks for your application, and the Bank of Punjab for your card and balance.
  • Never pay an agent to check your status or “release” your loan.
  • Never share your OTP or PIN with anyone who calls or messages you, even if they say they are from the bank.

If someone asks you for money, report it through the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal.
