PPSC veterinary officer jobs 2026 are now open: the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has advertised 28 BS-17 posts for the Livestock & Dairy Development Department in Advertisement No. 10/2026, case 03-RK/2026, and online applications close on 5 October 2026. The posts are Veterinary Officer (Health, Dairy, Research, PVTV (ABAD) and Production) and Livestock Production Officer. They are on a 5-year contract and are meant for DVM graduates registered with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council.

One case, several job titles
The advertisement prints the post name as one line: Veterinary Officer/ Health/ Dairy/ Research/ PVTV (ABAD)/ Production/ Livestock Production Officer. The PPSC Jobs page also shows it as a single row, case 3K2026, with a single fee. The advertisement does not say how the 28 seats are divided between these titles, and it does not spell out the short forms PVTV and ABAD. We have not guessed either.
As of 18 September 2026, PPSC had not uploaded a job description for this case on its Job Description page. Until it does, the advertisement is the only official guide to these posts.
Who can apply
The advertisement sets these conditions for case 03-RK/2026:
- Qualification: a DVM degree from a recognized university, and a valid registration with the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC).
- PVMC registration: it should be valid up to the closing date. If yours has expired, you need proof that you applied for renewal on or before the closing date.
- Age: 21 to 30 years. The advertisement prints the upper limit as 30 + 05 = 35 years for men and 30 + 08 = 38 years for women.
- Transgender candidates: age and sex are taken from the CNIC.
- Gender: male, female and transgender candidates can apply.
- Domicile: Punjab.
- Experience: the advertisement does not ask for any.
The general notes at the bottom of the advertisement add a few rules. People who work for the Federal Government, its semi-government or autonomous bodies, or local bodies do not get an age concession for that service. If you claim that your degree is equivalent to a DVM, including a foreign degree, you must show an equivalence certificate from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) or the department’s Qualification Equivalence Determination Committee when PPSC asks. Without it, your candidature is cancelled.
If you are already in government service, you should have your NOC, or have applied for it, when you apply. You show it at the interview if you are called.
Pay scale and job type
The posts are in BS-17 and are offered on contract for a period of 5 years, as the advertisement prints. The advertisement does not give a salary in rupees, so this page does not quote one. Any salary figure you see on a job blog does not come from this advertisement.
Because the place of posting is All Punjab, you should be ready to work in any district. The advertisement places these posts under the department’s Extension Wing (Animal Health Cadre).
How to apply for PPSC veterinary officer jobs 2026
- Open ppsc.gop.pk, read the Important Instructions as the advertisement asks, and click Apply Online.
- Pick Advertisement No. 10/2026, case 3K2026 (Veterinary Officer / Livestock Production Officer).
- Enter your CNIC, then verify your own email address and mobile number. You cannot change them later.
- Fill in your personal details exactly as they appear on your CNIC and degree.
- Pay the fee with the 17-digit PSID that the form gives you.
- Upload a recent photograph and a picture of your CNIC front, each under 25KB.
- Add your DVM details with marks, and any service record, then submit before 5 October 2026. Keep your Application Number and the Token Number PPSC sends you.

Documents you need
Keep clear scans, and the originals, of:
- your CNIC
- your Punjab domicile certificate
- your DVM degree, with a certificate showing marks obtained and total marks, or a percentage (the advertisement says CGPA is not acceptable)
- your PVMC registration certificate, or proof that you applied for renewal by the closing date
- an HEC or QEDC equivalence certificate, if you claim an equivalent or foreign qualification
- an NOC from your department, if you are already in government service
- a disability certificate, if you apply for the special person seat
- a photograph and a CNIC picture for the online form

Application fee
The PPSC Jobs page lists a fee of Rs 600 for case 3K2026. This is how you pay:
- The online form gives you a 17-digit PSID.
- Pay it under the GoPb biller by ATM, internet banking, mobile banking, JazzCash, Easypaisa or UPaisa, or at a 1Link member bank counter.
- One PSID pays for one post. If you also apply for another post, that one needs its own PSID and fee.
- Specially abled candidates pay no fee.
Paying the fee does not finish your application. Go back to the form and submit it. PPSC does not refund fees, so check that you meet every condition before you pay.
Selection process
PPSC runs the selection. From the advertisement and PPSC’s usual process, expect these stages:
- Scrutiny: your online application is checked against the conditions above.
- Written test, if held: one MCQ paper of 100 marks and 90 minutes. The printed syllabus is “Questions related to DVM”, at 100%. Every question comes from your DVM course, so revise your degree subjects, not general knowledge.
- Interview: if you are called, you show your original degree, marks certificates, PVMC registration, domicile and any NOC.
- Recommendation: PPSC recommends the successful candidates to the Livestock & Dairy Development Department.
The advertisement says test schedules and syllabus details appear only on the official PPSC website, and asks candidates to visit it often. When your test is scheduled, print your admission letter (roll number slip) from ppsc.gop.pk with your CNIC. If the department later raises or cuts the number of posts, PPSC will not invite fresh applications, so apply now if you want to be considered.

Beware of fake job offers
Veterinary graduates sometimes get calls or WhatsApp messages from people who say they can “fix” a PPSC seat or sell test questions. Nobody can do that. PPSC selects by test and interview, and the advertisement itself says that information shared by anyone other than the PPSC website is not authentic. Pay only the Rs 600 fee against your own PSID, never share an OTP or banking PIN, and report anyone who asks for money through the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal.
