The Sehat Card hospital list for Punjab is the official list of hospitals where you can use your CNIC for treatment under the Health Insurance Program. This guide shows where to find it, what it contains, how to search it on your phone, and what changed at government hospitals in June 2025.
The list comes from the Punjab Health Initiative Management Company (PHIMC), which runs Punjab’s Sehat Card. If you are new to the program, read our main Sehat Card guide first.
Where to find the official Sehat Card hospital list
Go to PHIMC’s Health Insurance Program page. It has a link called “List of Empaneled Hospitals in Punjab Under Health Insurance Program”, which opens a PDF. You can also open the hospital list PDF directly. The file is small, so it opens quickly even on a slow connection.
The PDF is titled “List of Empaneled Hospitals under Health Insurance Program (HIP)”. It has five columns:

Use this list, not an old one. PHIMC’s website still hosts older lists under the Sehat Sahulat name, including division-wise lists, and they do not match the current one. Lists on sehatsahulat.com.pk are for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, not Punjab. Lists shared on WhatsApp may be years old.
What the list shows as of September 2026
We downloaded the list and counted it on 12 September 2026. It had 153 hospitals in 34 districts. 152 are marked private. One, a cardiac centre in Murree, is marked public.
The hospitals are not spread evenly. Lahore alone has more than a quarter of them.

The other 26 districts on the list have between 1 and 4 hospitals each. Some districts, such as Sargodha, Khushab, Rajanpur and Nankana Sahib, did not appear at all.
A few entries carry notes you should read:
- One Lahore hospital is marked “For Gamma Knife Only”, so it takes program patients for that treatment only.
- One Multan hospital is marked “Services on hold”.
- Several entries are eye hospitals or clinics, and one is a lab.
The PDF has no date on it, so it may change at any time.
How to find a hospital near you
- Open the PDF on your phone from the PHIMC page.
- Search for your district or tehsil. On most phones, tap the menu and choose “Find in page” or “Search”.
- Note two or three hospitals near you, not just one.
- Read the name column for notes such as “Services on hold”.
- Call the hospital before you travel. Ask three questions. Are you still on the Health Insurance Program panel? Do you treat my condition under the program? Will it be free, or on the 50% co-payment?
- If you cannot get a clear answer, call the PHIMC helpline 0800-07542, which is open 24/7.
Why you should call before you travel
A trip to the wrong hospital costs money and time, and a patient’s time matters. There are good reasons to check first:
- The list is undated. Hospitals can join or leave the panel.
- Services can be paused. One entry already says “Services on hold”.
- Some treatments have been suspended before. In 2023, PHIMC suspended cataract surgery and delivery cases at private empanelled hospitals after complaints, news reports said. Normal deliveries and C-sections are now on the FAQ’s list of exclusions.
- Not everything is free. PHIMC’s FAQ says cancer, ICU, CCU, NICU, medical cases, thalassemia and all emergencies are free at empanelled private hospitals. For other conditions, the program pays 50% and your family pays 50%.
In an emergency, go to the nearest hospital straight away. Emergencies are on PHIMC’s free list, and the FAQ says life-threatening conditions are covered even after the limit is used.
Government hospitals since June 2025
From 30 June 2025, Punjab closed the program in all public sector hospitals, Dawn reported. Hospitals were told to submit their pending claims by that date.
PHIMC’s FAQ explains the change. The program “has only been discontinued in government hospitals”, and treatment there “was already completely free and still remains free.”
Officials said the aim was to avoid duplicate benefits with the Chief Minister’s health programmes. PHIMC runs separate CM programmes for transplants, dialysis, children’s heart surgery, adult cardiac surgery, cancer patients and stroke. These are not the Sehat Card, and they have their own hospitals and rules.
So you do not need the Sehat Card at a government hospital. At a private hospital, the hospital must be on PHIMC’s list.
If there is no empanelled hospital near you
PHIMC’s FAQ says that if an empanelled hospital is not nearby, you may consult a local doctor. Otherwise, go to an empanelled hospital, where the doctor will guide you on whether you need admission.
The FAQ also says you can use the program at empanelled hospitals across Pakistan. However, the list we checked only has hospitals in Punjab. Before going to a hospital outside Punjab, call 0800-07542.
At the hospital
Take your original CNIC. For children under 18, take the child’s B-Form too. Go to the Hospital Facilitation Officer (HFO), who checks your CNIC and guides you through admission. Only admissions are covered, not OPD visits.

Stay safe
- Nobody can get you treated at a hospital, or add a hospital to the list, for a fee
- Never share an OTP with a caller who says they are from the Sehat Card
- Only trust the PHIMC list, not lists on social media or on KP’s website
If someone asks you for money, report it on the Pakistan Citizen’s Portal.
