You need a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an HEC-recognized institution. The ad names these fields: Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or a related discipline. The portal listing accepts a 16-year degree (Master’s or Bachelor’s Hons) or an 18-year MS or MPhil, and asks for 15 years of experience with either.
General experience
At least 15 years of professional experience in engineering, infrastructure or municipal services projects.
Specific experience (at least 10 years)
The ad asks for at least 10 years of demonstrated expertise in:
- Design, planning and implementation of water supply, sewerage and wastewater treatment systems
- Preparing and reviewing feasibility studies, detailed engineering designs, drawings, specifications, BOQs and cost estimates
- Using innovative technologies in water supply, sewerage and wastewater treatment
- Planning and managing public-sector infrastructure projects, and coordinating with government departments, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders
- Preparing and reviewing PC-Is, technical reports, project proposals and donor-funded project documents
- Construction supervision, quality assurance and quality control, contract administration, and measurement and certification of works
Age and other conditions
The printed ad does not mention an age limit. The portal listing shows an age range of 18 to 80. The listing is open to both men and women. The ad does not mention domicile, PEC registration or any quota.
Pay scale and job type
The ad says the compensation is market-driven, in line with the candidate’s experience and qualifications. It does not print a salary figure or a pay grade, and the portal listing does not show one either. So any salary you see on a job blog is not from PMDFC.
The portal lists the employment status as contract. The ad does not say how long the contract will run. It also says the competent authority can increase, decrease or reject the post without giving any reason.
