Punjab Forest Department jobs 2026 are open for five posts in the Forest GIS Lab: the Forestry, Wildlife & Fisheries Department has advertised an Animator, an Assistant Director Computer Programming, a Drone Operator, a Surveyor and a Driver on contract. The last date is Wednesday, 30 September 2026. You must apply online and also deliver a hard copy of your documents.
The posts are for a development project called “GIS-Based Protection Regime and Establishment of Digital Communication Cell in Forestry, Wildlife & Fisheries Department”. The ad invites applications from all over Punjab for the project period. We checked this page against the official ad and the live portal pages on 15 September 2026.

Who can apply

- Animator (PPS-8): a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (16 years) in Fine Arts, Film & TV, Computer Science or another relevant subject from an HEC-recognized university, with 7 years’ experience. You need proven work in Adobe Animate, After Effects or Maya, strong drawing, modelling and storytelling skills, and experience from 2D and 3D animation to visual effects and motion graphics. Age 28 to 35.
- Assistant Director Computer Programming (PPS-7): 16 years’ education in Geo-Informatics, Computer Science, IT or GIS, and at least 1 year of experience in computer programming or GIS programming with a recognized private or public organisation. Age 23 to 30.
- Drone Operator (PPS-5): a Bachelor’s degree in second division from an HEC-recognized university, and at least 1 year of experience flying drones for aerial footage and imagery for natural resource work. You should handle flight planning, route mapping, camera settings, maintenance, calibration and data processing. Age 22 to 28.
- Surveyor (PPS-3): Intermediate (HSSC) in second division, and a Diploma of Surveying from a recognized institute. Age 20 to 25.
- Driver (PPS-3): Middle school certificate, a valid LTV driving licence and 5 years of LTV driving experience. Age 25 to 35. Our driving licence guide explains licences in Punjab.
Age relaxation: the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for men and 8 years for women, counted on the date of the advertisement, under S&GAD Notification No. SORI(S&GAD)9-36/81 dated 08.08.2016. So a woman can apply for the Surveyor post up to age 33, and a man up to age 30.
In-service candidates must get or apply for an NOC or DPC from their department and show it at the interview, if called.
Pay scale and job type
The ad prints an initial monthly salary for each post:
- Animator (PPS-8): Rs 350,000
- Assistant Director Computer Programming (PPS-7): Rs 157,500
- Drone Operator (PPS-5): Rs 70,000
- Surveyor (PPS-3): Rs 43,750
- Driver (PPS-3): Rs 43,750
The jobs are “purely on a contractual basis during the project period”. An annual increment is applied as per the approved PC-1 and government policies. The ad says selected candidates will have no claim to permanent appointment.
The portal job pages show slightly different salary ranges for some posts (for example Rs 150,000 to 155,000 for the Assistant Director, and Rs 35,000 to 40,000 for Surveyor and Driver). We follow the printed ad.

There are two parts, and both are mandatory.
Part 1: apply online

- Register and log in. Click Register, enter your email and a password, and open the activation link the portal emails you. Then log in with your email, password and the captcha code.
- Complete your profile. Fill in your personal details, domicile, education and experience in the Profile Builder.
- Find your post. Open the jobs list and search “Punjab Forest Department”. For example, here is the Drone Operator page and the Animator page. Check the last date shows 30-09-2026.
- Apply. Click Apply for this Job and submit. If you want more than one post, the ad says to apply for each post separately.
Part 2: deliver the hard copy
- Print your online form and attach attested photocopies of your CNIC, domicile, academic certificates and experience certificates.
- Write the post name clearly on both the application and the envelope.
- Deliver it by 30 September 2026, during office hours, to: Director, Geo-Spatial Planning & Monitoring Forest GIS Lab, 108-Ravi Road, Forest Colony, Lahore.

Selection process
- The department shortlists candidates according to their eligibility and experience.
- Only shortlisted candidates are told the test or interview date, by email or phone. Keep your email and phone number working.
- The decision of the Selection Committee is final.
- No TA/DA (travel or daily allowance) is paid for the test or interview.
- The department can increase or decrease the posts, or cancel the recruitment, without prior notice.

The ad does not print its own date. The age relaxation is counted “at the date of advertisement”, so if your age is close to the limit, confirm the date with the office by phone.
