Which last date is correct: 20 or 28 September?
28 September 2026 is the current last date. Here is why the two dates exist:
- The original ad, IPL 9277, appeared on 6 September 2026 in Daily Jang, Daily City 42, Daily Dawn and Gulf News. It says: “Last Date of Submission of Application is 20-Sep-2026.”
- S&GAD then issued a corrigendum, IPL-9639. It lists the same 8 posts and says the last date for online submission “has been extended upto 28.09.2026”. It also says all other terms and conditions of the original ad stay unchanged.
- The copy of the corrigendum on the portal is a screenshot of Dawn’s e-paper dated 12 September 2026. The portal attaches it to each GIGP job page, and every one of the 8 pages now shows Last Date to Apply: 28-09-2026.
So if you read the newspaper ad or a job website that still says 20 September, that date is out of date. You can see the official corrigendum image on the portal. Even so, do not wait until the last day, because the portal can be slow near a deadline.
Who can apply
Each post needs a Master’s degree from an HEC-recognised institution in the subjects listed below. Director Research and Policy also accepts a Ph.D., and General Manager Support Services also accepts professional qualifications such as ACCA or CA. For all posts, the ad adds that preference will be given to graduates of globally recognised institutions. Experience means post-qualification experience, counted after your degree.
- Director, Promotion & Marketing: Master’s in Marketing, Business Administration (MBA), International Business or Mass Communications. 15 years in investment promotion communications, development communications or corporate marketing.
- Director, Investment Promotion / Global Regions: Master’s in Finance, International Business, Economics or Business Administration (MBA). 15 years in international business development, fund raising, private equity or investment attraction across several markets. Preference goes to applicants who speak a foreign language (Arabic and Chinese).
- Director, Investor Facilitation: Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), Public Policy, Public Administration, Finance or Law. 15 years in investor facilitation, regulatory affairs or one-window operations across federal and provincial agencies.
- Director, Aftercare and Expansion: Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), Economics, Development, Engineering, International Business or Public Policy. 15 years in investor aftercare, business development or investment attraction.
- Director, Research and Policy: Ph.D. or Master’s in Economics, MBA, Finance, Accounting or Development Economics. 10 years with a Ph.D., or 15 years with a Master’s, in economic and business research, policy analysis or investment climate advisory.
- Director, Sectors and Technical Advisory: Master’s in an engineering discipline, Economics, Development or Business Administration (MBA). 15 years in sector-focused investment advisory, technical assessments, industrial programme design or industrial policy.
- General Manager, SEZA (Special Economic Zones Authority): Master’s in Civil or Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Public Policy or Real Estate Development. 10 years in SEZ management, industrial estate development or infrastructure planning for industries.
- General Manager, Support Services: Master’s in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Accounting, Finance or Commerce, or ACCA, CA, ACMA or a similar professional qualification. 10 years in a senior leadership role in HR, accounting and finance, IT or administration.
Age limit: 40 to 55 years for all Director posts, and 35 to 50 years for both General Manager posts. The ad mentions no age relaxation. The portal shows both men and women can apply.

Pay scale and job type
These posts have no BPS grade. The ad offers an “attractive lump sum pay package commensurate with qualification and experience of the candidate”. How to apply for GIGP jobs 2026
The ad has one method only: apply online at jobs.punjab.gov.pk. Here are the steps.
- Open the official portal at jobs.punjab.gov.pk. Check the address carefully.
- Register. Click Register, enter your email and a password, and open the activation link the portal emails you. If you already have an account, log in with your email, password and the captcha code.
- Complete your profile. In the Profile Builder, add your personal details, every degree (with the institution and year), and your full work history with dates. Senior posts are judged on experience, so list your roles clearly.
- Find the GIGP post. Search the jobs list for the post title, such as “Director Promotion Marketing”. The right page shows Global Investment & Gateway of Punjab as the department, and the last date 28-09-2026.
- Read the job page. Each page has the qualification, experience, age range and a long list of duties. Make sure you meet the minimum before you apply.
- Apply. Click Apply for this Job, fill in the short form and submit. You can apply for each job only once, and you cannot edit an application after you submit it. If you qualify for more than one post, each post has its own page and its own application.
- Keep the confirmation. The portal shows a message on screen and also sends an email and a text message.
